My Daughter/My Friend

Jessica and I were going to lunch one day and we just took this picture in her car. I love being able to spend time with her - I know she thinks she's old and wants to be on her own now, and I shouldn't be selfish, but I still want her to hang around for a while.

I know I need to appreciate the time we have together because soon she'll be off at college or meeting some guy and not wanting to spend time with mom anymore.

Thanks for going to lunch with your "old mom" once in a while, Jess!

Puerto Penasco

We went to Rocky Pointe for fall break with the Barney's and we all had a great time - that is until it took us almost 8 hours to get home at the end of the trip! 3 1/2 hours to go 1.4 miles through the border crossing! YUCK! We have no pictures of Tyler and Taylor because they were always gone on the Rhino or quads.....

Daddy-Daughter!

This past weekend was our ward's annual Daddy-Daughter Outing.

It's always a fun time for everyone.

Their tent was so big it was named the "Taj Majal"

They played fun games on Saturday morning like marshmallow toss,

three legged races and the biggest bubble gum blowing contest.

Last week Chris and I and some of our friends went to see Def Leppard, Styx & Foreigner at the Cricket Pavillion. We had a great time!

Foreigner opened up - I love their songs!! Styx put on a really great show with lots of their popular songs - we sang out lungs out! I don't know if we ever sat down.

Def Leppard closed out the show with 90 minutes of straight singing - well kinda. Their poor lead singer, Joe Elliot, just can't hit the notes anymore! That's ok, we sang for him!!

So, now that I've got this blog going, I decided to highlight

each of my four children - so here goes:

Jessica ...She's 18 now and attending MCC. Her interests right now are

the lake, boys, the lake, boys,

oh and did I mention the lake and boys?

And, how could I forget her obsession with "Hairspray"!

She is having fun right now meeting new friends and

re-connecting with old ones.

Tyler...He is 15 and isn't he handsome?? Tyler's goal right now is to be a professional wakeboarder. Do you see a theme, here? Kinda funny since we don't even have a boat - we're working on Chris right now for that one! Tyler is a great golfer, I hope he'll start working on that more. Maybe since it's getting cooler, he will.

Courtney is 12 year old. She's a big girl now - and loves hanging out with her friends & having sleep-overs or late nights (whatever she can get). She loves to plan night games with the whole gang. Courtney is a fantastic cheerleader and loves to FLY! She hangs out on the computer too whenever she can get it from mom! She loves her puppies, Tino and Bella.

Dillon...He's 10 years old - double digits! When did all my kids get so old? Dillon just loves to be around friends, skateboard, wakeboard, and ride his bike over curbs and jumps. He recently changed schools, he is such a friendly kid - I'm sure he won't have any problems fitting in. Plus, he's back with some of his very favorite buddies. Only problem is...
I have four kids at four different schools!

I lOVE my children, and I'm so grateful that I'm their mother. Everyday they do things that surprise me - usually in a good way. I'm thankful for the relationships that I have with them and I hope and pray that they will always want to talk to mom.
