"HEROES...THE POWER WITHIN"

4th Level Girls Camp
June 7,8 & 9 2010
The theme was
"Heroes...The Power Within"
We used some Super-Hero themes,
and did a lot of super-human activities!
Both Chris and I got to go as leaders this year
along with Courtney, this being her 4th year at camp,
so it was SUPER fun!
So...the first thing we did was go rapelling!!
Yep you heard me!
Chris was at the top of the mountain, belaying the girls down.
(he had to be certified that VERY day...
yikes, but did awesome!)
Almost every one of our 40 girls did it!
Even Courtney did it, with a cast on her arm!!
Darby & Lexi
Manda & Paige
...and Courtney, cast & shoes falling off!
see, she was not planning on rapelling after she
broke her hand, so she didn't wear the appropriate
shoes that day. But Bro. Smith told her that he
could make sure she would be safe all the way down
if she still wanted to do it...which she DID, so
guess what? she did! Nothing's stopping that kid!
We needed a bit of a break from all the
high intensity activity, so we made a cute frame and
did a service project! Testimony Gloves!
We also got a nice visit from our
Stake Leaders; Sisters Hatfield, Perkinson & Francis.

Next morning was right back to craziness!!
The GIANTS LADDER!
Darby & Camille...Manda & Paige
Lexi & Courtney...serious monkeys!
Again...MOST of the girls did the giants ladder.
I think ALL of them at least tried it.
It was amazing to see the girls cheering the
other girls on as they were trying to get to the top!
For some...this was NOT easy.
Rifle shooting!
I wasn't there to take a picture...sad.
In the afternoon we went over to the lake
to go canoeing. We had to hike down about a
mile and a half. But it was beautiful down there!
The girls had a blast at the lake...
but I think Bro. Baker might have had
the most fun OF ALL of them!
If you can't tell from this picture...
He was having a blast trying to capsize
all the boats and then not let the
girls back in the boats!
What a great time we had with these girls!
Lots of memories to last a lifetime.

That doesn't look like Camp Lo Mia? Looks like more fun, but lots of work! I am impressed with the Baker's camping abilities....me, not so much.
