TRIP TO PALMYRA AND NYC ❤

On the spur of the moment, Courtney and mom decided to take
a trip to NEW YORK! We planned quickly....very quickly....and found flights
 and rooms and made a plan!  We wanted to see Palmyra, the Church History
sights and also to see New York City!  It was going to be a very quick trip,
so we needed to be very planned out, but it was so fun.  We started out with
a flight into Rochester, NY.  Rented a car and drove to Palmyra.
We stayed at the Palmyra Inn.  It is right next to the Sacred Grove sight.
So easy to get to everything and it was awesome!
So, in the morning we headed out to the sights!

ok.........so, spoiler alert!  Courtney's best friend Ashlyn Arnett
is serving a mission at the  Church History sights in Palmyra!
We were SO HOPING to run into her at the sights.
Well, the first place we went to was the Hill Cummorah Visitors Center.
We figured we would have a good chance of finding out
where she was by going there.  IT WAS HER P-DAY.

WE WOULD'NT BE ABLE TO SEE HER THE WHOLE DAY.

Our plan was to leave the next morning to drive into the city to be in Manhattan
for the next 2 days.  Talk about a bummer.  But, it was what was.
And we couldn't do a thing about it.
We enjoyed the Church History sights SO MUCH!
I learned so much about the first days of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
About the Book of Mormon and about Joseph Smith!

And my own testimony was strengthened that day by being there.

So all in all..............it turned out to be a fantastic day!

 The next morning, we decided to stop by the Hill Cummorah Visitors Center 

on our way out of town on our 5 hour drive down to NYC.

GUESS WHO WAS AT THE DESK?

SISTER ARNETT!!

Courtney was thrilled!  It was the best!  We got to visit with her 

for about an hour and take pictures and then we left and drove down to the city.

Talk about scary!  Yikes, driving into the city in New York is a scary adventure!

But, we made it, dropped off our rental car and got to our hotel room downtown.

Had a yummy dinner at Junior's and then got ourselves to WICKED!

Woo Hoo!

After the show we had to hit up the Shake Shack, of course!

and see Times Square at night time!

The next two days, I think we walked our legs off!

We saw Central Park, went to Top of the Rock for amazing views,

Grand Central Station, Took a ferry ride to see the Statue of Liberty,

went to Wall street, saw The Brooklyn Bridge, 

Went to Joe's Pizza and Levain's Bakery in Greenwich Village, 

AND went to Serendity 3 for FROZEN hot chocolate!

WOWZA!!!  I'm not even sure how we got all that in!

But, I know that it was really really fun doing it!!

Courtney's 20th!

For Courtney's 20th BIG Birthday, she wanted to go

SKY DIVING!

Her Alayna went together and had the time of their lives!

She said it was the best 5 minutes of her life!!

I'm so happy that she went and got to experience 

flying through the air.....NOTHING like it.

House of the Lord with your FAMILY!

I can't wait until I have my whole family there together.  

FAMILIES CAN BE TOGETHER FOREVER

I know this with my whole heart!

I'm so thankful for the Plan of Salvation,

even the plan of happiness!! 

It is what makes my every day better!
