7 THINGS

Ok...so I don't know, a while ago this cute girl that I love, Jenna, did a "7 things about her" post.  She nominated 7 people to do it after her.  Well, I was one of them.  I think she thinks I forgot.  haha!  I did for a while.  But, now that it's a BRAND NEW YEAR, I'm going to try to post more often on my blog.  So here goes.............................................. 7 things you probably do not need to know, or you already know, about ME!

1.  I am a MOTHER!  I have 4 beautiful children. (2 daughters and 2 sons) 1 son-in-law, and 1 grandson!  I love ALL of my children more than I could ever express.  I feel blessed every single day that my Heavenly Father let ME be their mother.

2.  I am a GRANDMOTHER!  Asher is the cutest, most loveable, adorable baby in the whole world!  I love him so much, and I'm grateful that he is part of our wonderful family.

3.  I want to diet.............I just can't!  I don't like eating diet food, and I really like to eat sweets.  Oh, plus.....I don't like to excercise.  I think I'm in trouble here.

4.  I really like to go to the movies.  Not renting them and bringing them home to watch.  I have to GO to the movie.  It could possibly be, because I really LOVE movie theatre popcorn and the big screen makes all the difference.

5.  I'm scared of riding in cars.  I know, weird.  It really doesn't matter who's driving, I get really scared when I ride.  By the way, it doesn't scare me to drive.  Just to ride.  I have dreams quite often about scary stuff happening to me, always in cars.  Sometimes I get sick to my stomach when I ride in the car, especially when the driver is texting!!  Oh, and I've never really told this to anyone.  It's kinda strange to put it out there on this blog!

6.  I'm addicted to Fox News.  There I said it.  Yep, it's pretty much all I watch on TV.  I can't help it, so everyone just deal with it.

7.  and finally, I MISS TYLER!!!  Tyler is my missionary son.  He's serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Culiacan, Mexico.  He's been gone since March, 2011 and will not come home until March 2013.  I am so proud of him, he is a fantastic missionary and has such a strong testimony of the gospel.  I couldn't be happier that he is gone...but, yes, I miss him tons.

Well, there you go.  ummmmm, was that supposed to be a confessional?  haha!  Like I said, lot's of things you probably never needed to know.

I'm in LOVE!

Asher is the most adorable baby,

at least that I can remember in the last 14 or so years!

I'm a Grandma...

not sure if that's my name yet, or if I'm going with

some other "title"

But, it's sooooo FUN!

He's an excellent baby,

he hardly ever cries.

He's adorable and huggable and kissable!!

Jessica did so great, he was born by C-Section

because he is sooo large!

 I don't EVER want to put this guy down!!

Mondays...LOVE 'EM

 Monday is P-day, and that is when we get

letters from our missionary, Elder Johnson!
Who wouldn't love that?

About a month ago...he said he sent pictures.

We didn't get them!

Finally, this past Monday, I found the pictures!!

Trek!

Courtney and Dillon went on a Pioneer Trek to learn and think about their pioneer heritage.  They walked about 15 miles over three days and slept out in the open, under the stars.  The got dirty.  They sang songs, and learned about some of the people who walked those plains long ago.  Their own great, great grandpa Willard Richard Skousen walked across the plains, riding mostly on the shoulders of his dad, James Niels Skousen, who came over from Denmark in 1862, so his family could have religious freedoms and a better life. 

We are thankful everyday for the sacrifices of our ancestors.
