Spring Break in Hawaii...2009

Our family went to HAWAII for Spring Break this year!
It was a pretty last minute decision and even with that
our plans changed like four times before the trip was
finalized. At least we thought it was...we were flying
standby and that was very nerve wracking!! But, we
got there and started out right away having a great time,
just spending the time together, was what made it awesome!!
We did so many fun things. For 4 days we didn't stop! I think
we hit almost every great spot and did every great thing
there was to do on Oahu. This post could go on forever,
so I'll just show you all the highlights (at least for me)!
Pearl Harbor. We went about 8 years ago, but the
kids didn't really remember it, so we went back again.
This time, they were all very interested and I think
it made a lot more sense to them. I think they really enjoyed
seeing the memorial and learning more about it.

Boogie Boarding at Hukilau Beach

This was at Pali Point. It's supposed to be soooo windy.
Well, this is the second time we, as a family, have been
up there...and can I say, there was NO wind!
Drinking Ice-Cold Coconut from a street vendor,
and eating those super yummy mini bananas!
The Temple in Laie.
These are my beautiful and most wonderful kids
playing together at the Ko Olina resort.

Here is the entrance to the resort we stayed at. It's a
Golf Resort...and Tyler would have loved to golf, but
maybe next time Tyler. He was ok with not going, I promise!
Our family at "Sunset Beach"
only it wawsn't quite time for the sun to set...
we had to get over to Kua Aina for a burger, duh!
If I could go to Hawaii and just stay in Hale'iwa,
I think I would! I love this cute little beach town!
oh...and they have the BEST burgers anywhere!

Matsumoto's Shave Ice...need I say more?

Running into David Hatfield; probably the friend I've known longest in my whole life, in fact my very first, best boyfriend from when we were 4!  Totally random, we pulled up into the parking lotat Sunset Beach right next to their car! Wish we would have taken a better picture with a better background than his rental car...but hey who was thinking about that?

Surfing, body surfing, and just plain playing on the beach at Waimea Bay beach before figuring out that we had 2 hours to hurry back to the airport, to catch a flight to Maui so that we had a chance of getting home! Whew!!

SO SICK OF THIS!

My shower has been out of order since Christmas time.
It is now under "re-construction" and I'm sick
of having people coming and going in my house!
BTW, the dogs are sick of it too!!!

Desert Devils "STATE CHAMPS"!

Courtney's team went to the "State" competition
last Friday night.
They did AWESOME! As you can see.
They hit their stunts and looked so cute!!

That's Courtney's stunt group in the middle...

Couldn't do it without a GREAT stunt group!
Bases are Hailey & Julie and Backspot is Amanda.
Great job girls!!
Two of Courtney's bestest friends Rachel and Brekyn

Family Trip to Utah!

Partying on the chair-lifts!

Doing the "jumps & rails"

So, I needed to get to Utah to get my hair done...
and my kids could hardly stand it when I told them
about how much snow there was there,
so the whole family ended up in Utah for a
mini-vacation!  We had fun getting to see
Jessica and everyone got to see her lovely
little apartment and her school.

We all went to Brighton on Friday for some excellent
skiing/boarding conditions!  What a beautiful day!
Then home quick on Saturday morning...I said it was mini!

Winter Formal 1/31/2009

Tyler had such a fun time at Winter Formal.
He went with a friend named Emily Christianson.
They met up at Glauser's house for pictures before
heading out in Jim's super cool "charger"
that Tyler even got to drive for a bit that night!
